Meet Juliet Johnson

Whether you're managing stress, recovering from injury, living with a long  term condition or simply looking for greater balance, yoga can provide practical tools for lasting wellbeing.

Welcome

I teach in small groups - less than ten students per session and one to ones to ensure that everyone can receive reflection and personal support to get the very best experience and benefit, to find what they need and enjoy the most to build a practice that works for them. I am always available for advice outside of sessions and share resources and videos to help you on your journey to a deeper understanding of you.

Background

My background spans nursing -accident and emergency, orthopaedics and care of the elderly, foster care - traumatised teenagers, social care - Mencap , Independent Living practitioner and  therapeutic yoga.

What yoga means to me

I went to yoga classes for many years but the magic really happened for me when I started my yoga teacher training and I actually found my daily practice. I started to really enjoy my body and became fascinated with my limitations, mechanics and the relationship between my  mind , body and spirit- I saw the whole picture of how my life experiences were held in my body - shaping my thoughts, movements and reactions. I saw how using , movement, breath, relaxation and meditation changed my inner and outer landscape. I started to love my body and all it does for me, my asthma disappeared and my PTSD stopped running my life .

Training and experience

I completed my two year in person Dru Yoga Teacher Training ten years ago and began teaching, six years ago I made yoga my full time work having completed postgrad training in back care and mental health .I have run sessions for eleven years and have enabled hundreds of students to find their way with yoga as a toolbox to fully enjoy life . I work one to one with people living with conditions such as multiple  sclerosis and parkinson's disease , stroke and surgery rehabilitation.

You are invited to join a session or work one to one , bring your curiosity and open heart and we will journey together to find ease and health

Testimonials

'' I joined Juliet's sessions in 2023. Juliet cares about all her clients, asking if they have new injuries or how old ones are doing at the start of each class. She encourages everyone to go at their own pace- the art of yoga is to relax not rush. A very friendly and welcoming group, I leave feeling nourished, centred , revitalised and stronger on all levels- mentally, physically , emotionally and spiritually. ''
